    Unfortunately, I guess I'll have to get Avast and work with the exception list until I get it to work. Knowing the installation and everything is okay lets me know where any immediate future problem resides. Blah. Antiviruses.

    No, you're good.
     
    Double check your anti virus, especially if you use Avast, and add GTA V and LSPDFR installer as an exception.
