  1. My computer finally arrived (specs in sig.) and it runs like a champ. Maximum EyeCandy V6, maximum graphics, car mods galore, LCPDFR 1.1 (Of course) and with VSync on holding a beautiful 55 FPS. While I'm at school, JC3 and GTA 5 is downloading for when I get home. I'll advise on it when I do. Keep in mind my last PC was a AMD A6-3600 and a GT 610. I've never experienced true PC gaming like this.
  2. The same mistake that R* made for GTA V Seems something more fit for a plugin in my opinion.
  3. Not sure if this is down (when I tried it with another account a long, long time ago it didn't work either), but this? Why? :( Please note the specs in my siggy are being assembled/shipped, not arrived yet.
  4. Have ordered this PC from CyberPowerPC (turned out to be a pretty good deal) simply because it would be easy for me. Case closed! :) http://puu.sh/lAKiP.png
  5. I'm using Amazon and that's it. I'm also not using pcpartpicker due to that it's pickings on certain retailers are not the best prices. I'm buying Windows 10 so I can have the box and the USB there. I am certainly not buying an OEM. I do need 16GB ram. And I am definitely not buying that graphics card.
  6. Can we get back to my thread please? I had posted an update to the build.
  7. I've made some edits: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 5 / $132.99 CPU: Intel i5-4690K / $238.99 CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H80i GT / $87.74 GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 SC / $489.99 RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB DDR3 / $80.93 HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB / $69.00 SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB / $85.94 ODD: Samsung SATA ODD Black / $18.99 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 / $74.88 Case: Corsair Carbide 200R / $50.82 OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home / $119.00 TC: Arctic Silver 5 / $7.54 Subtotal: $1,446.87 Total Savings: $479.03 All prices from Amazon, keep in mind I have Prime.
  8. I greatly appreciate the feedback!
  9. Look, once again I'm not interested in a skylake processor simply because the RAM is more expensive with a Z170 board. I might consider an i7 4790k if needed but I'm probably still sticking with the i5 4690k.
  10. Regardless, it's more expensive. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6600K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4690K
  11. It's expensive and performs lesser than the other model. Plus it's a DDR4 board and has expensive ram. I'm not wanting that skylake CPU anymore as it's just upping the cost.
  12. Alright, here's what I've gathered after tons of research: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 5 / $132.99 CPU: Intel i5-4690K / $238.99 CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo / $28.59 GPU: Gigabyte Windforce OC GeForce GTX 980 / $479.99 RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB DDR3 / $80.93 HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB / $69.00 SSD: SanDisk 240GB / $69.00 ODD: Samsung SATA ODD Black / $18.99 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 / $74.88 Case: Corsair Carbide 200R / $55.59 OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home / $144.24 TC: EGC Thermal Paste Compound / $9.99 Subtotal: $1,373.18
  13. It probably crashed because the settings were configured incorrectly, thus it not knowing what to do. Anyway, the default controls should be E for making them stop, detaining, etc, and the F keys for other options.
  14. Could anyone supply a video of their graphics card playing LCPDFR? With an ENB such as Cry or EyeCandy running at high settings, as well as the game at high settings (of course with some sort of CPU counter). No crazy playing, just normal patrolling LCPDFR. It would *really* help with my research and documentation stuff for buying this.
  15. Ultra ABOVE 60 FPS? Holy crap! And you're sure this CPU will do fine?
  16. What do you think I'll get on GTA 5, considering it's more optimized for higher-end cards?
  17. And the GTX 980? What crazy things can I do? Like since I'm only at 1080p, could I do Very High on all the settings, and even max cryenb? Maybe even other high ENB settings? Even recording with good framerate?
  18. From what I remember correctly, CryENB has an "original files" folder. Depending on what you're using, yours might too. If not, use a backup or reinstall.
  19. Try using the manual install and ensure your computer can run it (assuming it can)
  20. Thanks! Anyway I actually looked at a much cheaper solution I stumbledupon (don't even ask how I got this...) I'm on my phone right now but got a similar solution with the two biggest changes being The CPU is an i5 6600k The GPU is a Gigabyte GTX 980 Will this processor affect my performance negatively? I know the graphics card is top of the line though. This is 1080p gaming. I can't wait to build this and see what I can do. What an amazing price point at $1350
  21. Wow, really? Can you provide a video and maybe a dxdiag or pcpartpicker list (something of the sort)? Helps me document my research for getting this PC.
  22. I thought GTA V already looked real. Anyway, have an idea of what settings and what FPS I'll get on them with my rig plan?
  23. It was an opinion. I just like the way it plays. I've seen hundreds and hundreds of playthroughs and LSPDFR playthroughs of how GTA V feels like.
  24. I haven't purchased GTA 5 yet and still like the way GTA 4 works better (somehow). I like the idea of patrolling in a New-York like environment and using cars that I personally think are more realistic and don't have overdrive on them all the time. I want to drive like a realistic person. Plus, GTA 4 has aged and it seems that almost every mod existant is out for it.
