@Quasar Thank you so much! I have edited the keybindings in PLD under "allowradarsizetoggle" and it now doesn't do that! I have been having trouble with this for so long and now you just fixed it! Thank you!

Happens every time you change the siren or just use horn, when you are close to the suspect. If you are far away enough, siren change does nothing, but when you are close, they just go off straight. This should be fixed

In this video I'm using the latest beta version of ELS and shortly go over some of the changes that have been implemented recently - I even found a minor bug/issue in ELS while recording, did you spot it?
I hope just as much as you that ELS will be deemed ready for release sooner rather than later. I can't wait to see what the vehicle modding community can come up with!
I hope you enjoy and as always if you do have any questions feel free to comment on the video (rather than here, it keeps this topic a bit more cleaned up, a request for which can be read above).

I haven't really commented much yet, but here are my thoughts.  Its cool to wait and anticipate this.  That's always exciting and brings large crowds just waiting to see the unvail.  We do this with movies, new electronics, you name it.  I run a small business and in my experience my only suggestion to the ELS team is that it is okay to give updates and keep people interested and happy with the best customer service instead of always shutting people down since its free.  Silence is not always the best approach.  Yes of course I am SELLING a product and a image for my small business and ELS is more your hobby, so I understand the differences, but we can still learn something from the film industry.  They have their actors on shows promoting the film, showing clips, constantly bringing it to the public, and getting everyone excited for the RELEASE DATE.  That is done for the success of the movie, the actors, and the production companies to thrive and continue in their great endeavor.  That is a great way to do it and what most people are accustomed to.  We are your fans ELS team, but from reading most comments on here, they feel ignored, not valued, and always left in the dark with losing hope.  This is mostly from patience and losing hope.

To the ELS modding team, please don't take the comments from the fans as complaints, but rather see through to the true underlying meaning.  They are desperately anticipating this release supporting you guys, but without any attention or feeling valued, but given very little to go on.  In my opinion this is bad business ans bad customer relations.  I know this is free though, so there is not too much the public can say and we are forced to be left in the dark holding our tongues.  That is okay if you want to make your fans feel like that, but like I said, there is nothing wrong with giving minor updates throughout the weeks.  Share a little bit of things we already know about, or that might be improved without giving away too much, just giving the people what they want with your wise boundaries.  Even with a DVD release there is a set date, with a new phone there is a general date, and most products they gather their fans to follow them anticipating with them, not making them feel discouraged and pushing them away to lose hope.  Just my two cents.  Take it for what its worth from a successful small business.

I know this is not a business for the ELS team, so please don't post a lot of comments about the differences from business to this game/free hobby, but we can still share in beneficial practices in all aspects of life.  I am just trying to help in all of your communication, keeping the peace, and a "give and take" on both sides to keep everyone happy.  There is too much of this forced to respect and appreciate the modder, but he doesn't have to respect and appreciate his fans in return ONLY because he's offering something for free.  That is unrealistically, unfair, and exalting of one self above the rest.  Not saying Lt. Caine or anyone here is doing that, but the elephant in these forums is always that underlying theme.  Hope this helps some of you to come to a better understanding, better communication, and a great journey along the way.  I am looking forward to the release of ELS and understand they want to put out the product fully functioning.  Then life happens and ELS gets put off.  That's okay guys, but I think the people would like to know and it makes them feel comfortable.  There is nothing wrong with that on either side.  Thanks for hearing us out ELS team and I hope you can take some of this into consideration.  No one is above the other here, we are all contributing members with ideas, products, opinions, and at the least value.  Keep up the great work ELS team.

Are you asking for there to be a reskin of the ELS control panel so that it looks like that? Because I'd say that'll be something other people would make, not Lt.Caine. He has enough on his hands to just work on the mod itself with a default UI.

If you dont mind me asking, and if you guys can answer it, what is slowing down the production? What is still in the works, or what do you guys plan on adding?
And as much as i already know the answer to this question, i have to ask.. Lt. Caine said in his update about 2 months ago that he didnt want to release ELS, make a major change, and then have a whole lot of confusion. But he also said that there has yet to be a crash from ELS itself. So I'm wondering, is the "I dont want to release it because I dont want to make a major change and cause the community a whole lot of confusion" reason still the reason for no release? Are there more bugs, less downtime, or a different reason?
All that I'm asking for, really, is an update that isnt just out there.. like what is really happening, and what has changed from the last actual update, if you guys can give us that.

What makes no sense to is how you guys are rushing someone to release something that truly doesn't have to do anything for you guys... If he wouldn't have worked on it in the first place you guys wouldn't have shit... You guys are even lucky he told you he was in the process of making it in the first place. Grow up and act like you got some damn sense and stop acting like two-year-olds over a damn video game mod that whoever the maker is, doesn't really have to do for your ungrateful asses!!! You'd really be butthurt if he told y'all to go F yourselves and stopped making it, period. To the maker of ELSV, I apologize for these knuckleheads and take all the time you need to finish your project.

If you can successfully manage to go this route rather than the extras, would this mean that all vehicle models currently released would automatically be compatible with ELS? Also would we have to use ELS-specific lightbars and various other lighting parts when developing new models?

Also - I vote that @Albo1125 works with you to complete this. Anyone else? Like this up if you agree.

Hehe, it would probably be pretty great, especially since Albo is much more talented than I am.

Regarding an ELS release, I know the long wait has disappointed and frustrated many. For this, I apologize. Please keep in mind, however, that there is nothing more discouraging in this context than to work on a modification for so long and yet still not get to share it with others. After all, the purpose of taking on such a large endeavor, is in many ways to watch others explore, enjoy and benefit from it.
That said, why have we not been forthcoming with information regarding ELS? This has been a point of frustration for several members of the community, and understandably so. However unintentional the consequences may have been, the reason for this strategy was simple: nothing in ELS was--or is--set in stone. Throughout the development process, things have evolved, features have come and gone or been completely rethought. Even flash patterns have been redone about three to four times (that's hundreds of patterns!). Because ELS was--and is--constantly changing, an accurate picture of the mod could not really be conveyed to the public. We also wanted to strike a balance between reassuring the community that the mod was indeed in development, while not creating the type of hype that would result in people becoming impatient and ultimately frustrated. Perhaps that hasn't been entirely successful, in which case, I apologize.
At this point, most of the core ELS features are complete. However, a release is not yet possible for several reasons: a few core features still remain to be coded (takedowns, for instance); several features are being polished; and, I am constantly on the lookout for more ways to squeeze things out of the game in order to provide ELS users and vehicle modelers with more options and a better experience.
Furthermore, the recent developments regarding default siren ("carcols") configuration have provided a new avenue to explore for ELS. For instance, the entire "extra" method may be discarded and replaced with a new method using the "siren" parts. This is being explored, but is far from guaranteed. If it can be done, it would provide ELS with 20 individual lights as opposed to only 12, in addition to freeing up the extras to be used as random vehicle components--which, no doubt would be greatly appreciated. It would also mean more complex--and fun--flash patterns. However, this would also inevitably increase development time.
Were ELS a mod like most others, it might have already been released. However, the issue in this particular case is that ELS requires vehicle models configured to a particular standard. The fear is that were ELS to change dramatically due to a new development after an initial release, that players and websites would be cluttered with a plethora of obsolete vehicle models and ELS vehicle configuration files. Not to mention the confusion this would cause, which has materialized in the past. Therefore, the idea is to build ELS to a point where subsequent releases will feature only minor updates that won't disturb the community. And hopefully that won't take too much longer.
I hope this clears things up for most people interested in the development of ELS for V. I know it's been a very long wait, but I ask you for just a little more--just a little more time so that I can at least try to make it live up to your standards and expectations and prevent the need for huge messy overhauls down the road.

For those wondering about the damage issue, you may rest assured that it is fixed, but LMS is working on a solution that will make it portable and capable of withstanding GTA V game patches/updates. As for stability, there really is no comparison to be made to GTA IV. ELS V is extremely stable, and not a single crash has yet been reported outside of routine testing/development, even with AI vehicles enabled.

Emergency Lighting System V by @Lt.Caine

CVPI - Bxbugs123 High Speed Designs

    Release Date : Not confirmed

This video demonstrates one of the newest addition to ELS : LED Hide-A-Way system and headlight flashers.

    IMPORTANT!

Please be advised that the ELS depicted in the video is far from the finished product and people should not expect final quality of the program and treat it only as a minor sneak peak + a chance to help us make the ELS better by providing feedback. The video is not meant to be a teaser, or to evoke high hopes from the members on the forum, and the audience, but rather to help you understand where the program currently stands right now, and how far we have left to go in order to deem it as a finished product.

The testers have opened access to the alpha version of the program for testing purposes only and want supporters to be able to see what they are supporting. Playing the alpha might be frustrating and tedious due to the bugs and work-in-progress content. There will be BUGS ! This is important because we do not want viewers to think they are seeing the final product when we are still just in alpha development
