HCFD firefighters and paramedics tried valiently to save the driver and passenger involved in an early morning fatal car accident on the eastbound Broker Dukes Expressway at Saratoga Ave. The driver appears to have lost control and rolled, ejecting the passenger who was not wearing a seat belt and who was killed instantly. The driver was taken away from the scene by HCFD's Life Flight helicopter, and later died at the hospital. Fortunately there were no construction workers present in the work zone where the accident occurred.

As we approach the July 4th holiday, HCDPS would like to remind all Liberty City and Harbor County residents to please buckle up and slow down. HCSO deputies will be out and will continue to enforce their zero tolerance "click it or ticket" laws. Remember, "Every Ride, Every Time, Click it or Ticket."

NYPD responded to a hotel about a guest who had an animal and were met by a biligerent doorman whom they suspected had been drinking. The door man verbally assaulted a police officer and went on to threaten officers. That's when Sergeant Dunkin stepped in & got in his face. NYPD made the arrest successfully without any further issues
