Make sure your GTA folders are not read only. You can do this by right clicking the GTA IV root folder and then unchecking read only. An example is pictured below.

It's nice that you've done it but I don't think it's really needed.

Hey, for all, I know you are suppose to contact supprot but the newby's don't necessary know how so please don't delete my account or punish me admins, its just to help!

Ok, so, like me, alot of people have expirienced trouble starting lcpdfr, so here is my advise:

Do you have problems starting the game once you have installed lcpdfr? Is your problem related to dsound? If so I can help you!! Simply, once you have installed lcpdfr, go to the rockstar folder and then the grand theft auto floder, scroll down until you find an application saying LaunchGTA4 or something like that, right click on it and then left clik where it says run as admin, and so your problem might be solved,
Careful!!! You need to always do this process if you want to play GTA4, it is anoying but lcpdfr makes it worth it!

Also, if you have eraced the dsound application, you won't be able to play lcpdfr, you will only be able to play gta4 in its original version.

ADVISE: When you install lcpdfr, make sure you have an original copy without anything added on it, no added car mods, skins ...

If you have any questions you wish to ask, just post it as a comment below,

I hope I have helped you all and enjoy lcpdfr!!!

I just downloaded LCPDFR 0.95 RC2 and everything is working great. I love the new taser system and the weapon model but I have a suggestion. I don't think that civilians should be fleeing in all directions once the taser is used. I feel that it really ruins the surrounding environment when cars are abandoned, light poles destroyed and cowering civilians are everywhere just because the taser is used on one fleeing or resisting perp. Is there a way to make the civilians treat it as they did in the previous releases? By just ignoring it? Right now they treat the taser as if it's like a deadly weapon.
