get rid of your xliveless, and replace it with dsound. u will be able to get online/start a game. there are no dedicated servers for lcpdfr, u just gotta find someone/group to play with. but keep in mind whoever you play with has to have the same peds/vehicles, mainly everything has to be the same. so i suggest you find a group and download there group package so you dont crash.

download dsound. and take out xliveless.

i play alot of LCPDFR, i mean ALOT, (my wife hates you guys) LOL. but i have NEVER seen an AI Police officer pull over and search the trunk of another AI. go up to the window, just like LCPDFR. Anyway it was about 0545 in game and i was doing my route just outside of star junction when i seen and AI with his lights on, off to the right side of the road, i thought to myself i never seen another cop pulled off to the side of the road like this. So then i thought it was some sort of glitch. i pulled up as if i was backup, took a good look, and the officer was searching the trunk of the car. after he was done (assuming he found nothing) he went to the driver side did a lil hand motion and set the car off on his way, got back into his cruiser and drove off. i dunno if my games just jacked up to where ive never seen this before or what. but i do remember reading about it somewhere, how it would be cool to see other AI cops doing pull overs... i didn't actually see the AI officer pull the car over tho either, so i dunno. let me know if you guys have seen this type of scene before...all in all, i thought it was awesome. wish i was running my FRAPS, i woulda took a snap shot of the scene.

i wouldn't go with a laptop. just saying. you cant do much with upgrades with laptops. id save for a pc.

I finally figured out how to do this! I do not take credit for the actually mod, i only take credit for the "skin/texture" i would give credits to whoever actually figured this out, but i don't know who actually did it. I found it on a youtube video, and just figured out how to edit it to make my own. all i know is the person who posted the video was from the UK, and wanted a more UK feel once he went into the computer system in LCPDFR, while in his patrol car. its hard to explain actually how i edited the file, but if you would like me to make you a Custom Police Computer skin just let me know the details, and ill sent it to you. Or i iwll try to explain how i did it so you can create your own. heres my finished texture....

does anyone know of any MDT/MDC like programs outside of LCPDFR? As i have multiple screens, it would be nice to start my own database. something that i can enter names/crimes and later down the line after sometime of entering names/ crimes into, i can eventually start searching names, to see if i have encounter them before. this would indeed put a sense of realism into my game/mod, as i would be building my own MDC/MDT with all my crimes and suspects i have attended. nothing that ties to any real database, like a independent program. if anyone have any suggestions, that would be outstanding. pref something free, but i am willing to pay for a program of a reasonable price...nothing to expensive (it is just a game of course) Thanks!
