Pretty sure I got this one nailed down already. Need to test it out a few more times, but I feel pretty good about it.

Thanks for the heads up. GP is supposed to use STP for registration/insurance, so I definitely need to look into this. Did you look it up in Compulite first, then GP, then the STP context menu?

Ah! This never occurred to me. In other words, you might have your animation set to chest but GP is always using shoulder?

Thanks for the feedback/suggestions! The default LSPDFR radio animation is used when calling from on foot, so I'm not 100% sure what you mean by that. Are you not seeing any animations?

Yes, the speech recognition is a little big aggressive and I'm not 100% sure what to do about that. I think it's possible that I've included *too many* phrases in an attempt to be flexible. This might result in too many false positives. If you say something that it doesn't understand, it's supposed to respond with a general acknowledgement. The problem is that it sometimes think it understood you when it really shouldn't have. I really appreciate the feedback!!

I wasn't sure if there would be interest in controller support. I will definitely add it to the list!

100%. The code does not currently specify the GrammarBuilder Culture setting, so it defaults to whatever the system setting is. However, I explicitly set the Culture setting when I create the SpeechRecognitionEngine, so that's causing the error. I apologize for the issue, but hopefully it should be easy to solve. I am going to send you a PM.

Thanks for the log. It looks like it's running fine but not picking up any speech. You'll only get a generic response if you say something it doesn't recognize. If you say nothing, it doesn't do anything. Are you saying things or just hitting the talk button? Is it picking up normal things like "show me 10-8?" And, I have to ask just to be thorough, is your mic unmuted? Thank you for the log. It looks like you might have changed your Culture setting. I see this: "Exception while unloading: System.InvalidOperationException: The language for the grammar does not match the language of the speech recognizer." This is the same error I got when I was testing out using French. If you did change your Culture, then we've solved the problem! The changes for the next update that will allow the French support should solve this problem. Again, this assumes that you changed your Culture in the .INI file. For now, you will have to leave it set to "en-US". @MrBiker has already sent me a French version of the grammar, so I will have an update out this weekend.

I believe I can do this. I was able to successfully get the speech engine to recognize French. However, I need a native French speaker to help me write out the grammar.xml. Any takers?

They are compatible, but you do not drop in any XML files. Both UB and STP will be called by default if they are installed. It should work out of the box.

You do not need to keep VocalDispatch installed to use this. However, if you keep VD installed, make sure they have different key bindings. I kept VD installed during nearly all of development/testing and didn't have an issue.

It's failing while trying to get your default input device. I'll see what I can find. I assume you have some kind of microphone plugged in and verified working?

In theory it should be possible to use other languages, but I believe it would require a language specific grammar.xml. This is definitely something I am willing to try and support. I'll do some testing tonight and get back to you.

Yeah, I debated on that and had those in originally but thought people might want to use their own. It's very easy to add them to the grammar.xml file. I tried to be as thorough in the documentation as I could. The GRAMMAR.txt file should explain how to customize the phrases. It's really just a matter of adding "ten twenty nine" or whatever to the desired action.

I sincerely hope so. I did my absolute best. It's definitely better for me, but I won't know for sure until other people try it. Yes, it supports an EMS call. It will default to UB if installed, unless you toggle that setting. No, this should replace Vocal Dispatch. My recommendation would be to leave VD installed if you're already using it and rebind it to a different key. Then if you like Grammar Police you can remove VD later. Otherwise, this plugin has no hard dependencies other than LSPDFR and RPH.

I do use Microsoft's SpeechRecognitionEngine. However, I believe I am using a different method than VD. Rather than use the built-in Dictation Grammar and have the SRE look for keywords (not 100% sure this is how VD works but I suspect), I use a Grammar object built from (configurable!) pre-defined phrases. According to Microsoft, defining your own Grammar is supposed to be more accurate. In my testing, this has definitely proven to be true. However, I am really anxious to see if other people have the same experience. About a week ago I posted a standalone application that allows people to test the speech engine. A few people tried it and said it was an improvement over VD:
