Cj24 Members October 25, 201213 yr Author stats Cj, what is your CPU and ram configuration? 8GB Corsair RAM and Intel i7 2600k, currently using it's onboard graphics. Why?
Nutt Members October 25, 201213 yr Author stats I wanted to know your other PC configuration (hardware) before suggesting a GPU. So you are using the integrated GPU (Intel HD Graphics 3000) on the Intel CPU? If so, then yes, a solid standalone GPU would improve your performance. What is your budget, if any, for a new GPU?

Cj24 Members October 25, 201213 yr Author stats I used to have a Zotac GTX 570 AMP, since some months I had crashes every 5 minutes. I sent it back now, waiting for reply. They'll either have to replace it or give me my money back (what I expect, since it's an older card and not available anymore) and then I'll buy an MSI R7970 Lightning.

I hope everything works out. @Darkangel you quoted the wrong person, and I believe Cj has his plan together at this point.
Guest Enough of all this Guests October 26, 201213 yr Hey CJ I replace my old GTX570 Classified with a 7970 and thats not worth it.Sometimes the 7970 was slower than the GTX. So I send it back got my money again and used my GTX again. I would stick with Nvidia also becasue it runs better with Intel than an AMD card.
Cj24 Members October 26, 201213 yr Author stats I know a lot people have problems with driver crashes with nVidia cards, especially in BF3 or Crysis. The card I had definitly was screwed, but there were several other people with that bug. The 7970 is about the same power as the 570.
