Railway Police Investigation

SARail Police Service Investigators are on scene at a rural rail crossing where a freight train versus motor vehicle collision occurred yesterday night. The wreckage has since been cleared, and the roadway has been opened to traffic. Investigators are not able to release any specific information at this time, but have stated that the roads were dry and weather conditions were clear at the time of the collision. Investigators also say that the crossing signals were operational at the time of the collision.
