Eventful Morning for Silverlake Emergency Services
It was an eventful morning for Silverlake City Emergency Crews, as a distress call went out at approximately 5:50 this morning, after a passenger of a vehicle had appeared to start having a cardiac event. Police, Fire and EMS crews attended the scene on 46th Avenue in Silverlake, where the vehicle had stopped. EMS Crews immediately took the 76 year old passenger to Silverlake General Hospital in Downtown Silverlake, where he remains in critical, life threatening condition.
During the investigation, police had discovered that the driver, 28 year old Thomas RICHARDS of Silverlake, had warrants for a previous offence, unrelated to this incident. Thomas RICHARDS is the son of the 76 year old male passenger, who's identity has yet to be released. Thomas RICHARDS was taken into police custody at the scene.
Crews have since cleared the scene, and the vehicle has been removed from the roadway. Traffic has been fully restored to the area.
