New Division Created Under LCDPS's Mandatory Reorganization

Today the Liberty City State Highway Patrol(LCSHP), unveiled there newest division under the Liberty City State Department Of Public Safety's Mandatory Reorganization issued on 14th June 2013. The new Division, called the Protective Detail, is formed to work directly with the United States Secret Service. The division's main job is to work with the Secret Service and protect any important people who visits the states. That means, when President Obama arrives in Liberty City's Francis International Airport next week, security will be heightened and the Protective Detail will handle their very first assignment. Equipped with the latest technology and weapons, the Protective Detail is one of the elite divisions of Law Enforcement in the State of Liberty City. It is said that within the Protective Detail, there is a Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), a Hazardous Material Disposal Squad (HazMat Squad) and an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Team who are ready to respond in any case of emergency. The Protective Detail was formed under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety, Commissioner Ryan Grande and U.S. Secret Service Liberty City Liaison Officer, Special Agent Andrew Turney.

Trained by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Navy Seal Team 6, The Protective Detail officers are well equipped to handle any situations. Unveiled along with the new division are their assets. The Protective Detail officers are equipped with Low Profile unmarked Crown Victoria Police Interceptors, Unmarked Dodge Grand Caravan, Unmarked GMC Savana (SERT use), unmarked Chevrolet Suburban PPV (HazMat & EOD use) and 2014 unmarked Dodge Charger Police Package and SRT-8 versions. These vehicles are designed be part of a motorcade to provide add security for the VIP of the motorcade.
