Busy night for the SPVM and the SQ
Tonight was a busy night for both the Montreal Police and the Sûreté du Québec.
#1 - The SQ Highway Unit stopped a motorist for speeding, he was clocked at 128 km/h in a 100 km/h on Highway 40 W, in Louiseville, QC, Near Trois-Rivières. He received a 280$ citation, with 2 demerit points on his drivers license. The 41 Years old men from Pincourt was also arrested due to an arrest warrant being issued for a failure to show up at the Longueuil courthouse on January 14th. He remains detained until friday to be brought to the Trois-Rivières courthouse.
#2 - The SPVM PDQ 1 stopped a 22 Years old driver from Saint-Jérôme in Kirkland for failure to come at a complete stop at a stop sign. The driver was arrested for Driving under the Influence. Surprising fact, he was brought to the Saint-Laurent Centre Opérationnel to be dealt with.
#3 - The Sûreté du Québec and the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal worked together to block the exit on 40 W Saint-Jean located in Pointe-Claire, Qc. A pole fell down. The Ministère des Transports du Québec was called and took the debris off the roadway.
#4 - An officer responding to an emergency call in Lachine, Montréal was surprised by an unknown animal siting on the roadway, he tried to go around but was going to fast, he hit a wall. The officer was transported to the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire. The SPVM Crash Investigation was deployed on scene.
