Attempted Ambush!

Attempted Ambush!

Album created by Pacific Pig · Updated

Sirens broke the quiet night streets of sandy shores yesterday as Sandy Shores Police and Blaine County Sheriff vehicles raced to an abandoned lot. Prior to the sounds of sirens tearing though the street residents near the lot were treated to the sound of gun shots late last night as a Blaine County Sheriff's Deputy (Sgt. Hanson) responded to a disturbance call of men hanging around the lot and making a lot of noise. This call however turned out to be made by one of the men involved with the shooting in an attempt to lure out law enforcement into their ambush location. Sgt. Hanson says he pulled into the lot shined his spotlight towards the building and that's when it happened, shots rang out and before he knew it 3 bullets (9mm) came crashing though his front window one striking him in the vest. Hanson said he thought he had been shot opened his door and jumped over a half wall to safety as 8 more rounds went flying by him. Lucky to be alive he drew his gun and took a firing stance behind the wall that just saved him, unknown to him was that the suspects had fled to a nearby ally to a getaway vehicle. First on scene Sandy Shores Police set up a perimeter but it was to late the suspect were long gone, Sandy Shores Police held the scene as Blaine County Deputys began to arrive and stayed until the investigation was complete. Investigators are still piecing this case together and the shooter are suspected to be part of The Lost MC (Motorcycle Club)

in retaliation for the BCSO stepping up on the Drug enforcement in the area. Our on the scene reporter got some pictures of the investigation.
