Auto aiming at other cops

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Apologies if this topic has already been addressed. I spent a short time searching and couldn't find anything in the forum.

If i've pursued and stopped a suspect, aiming my gun always results in me automatically aiming at other cops nearby, even if they are further away than my intended target. This is particularly frustrating during the "armed suspect" callouts where a pursuit ends with all the suspects jumping out of the van with guns blazing, as my constant false aims usually result in me being taken out because I can't return fire.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

This annoys me as well, especially since when in SinglePlayer the Game sometimes Fails to pull out a Gun when leaving a Vehicle even if I select it. So that leaves me with a few Seconds where I'm getting lit up and I have to Re-Select a Weapon so I can return Fire but by then I've already taken 3-4 Shots.

Yeah i've experienced that too. Screeching to a halt, jumping out of the car and attempting to aim your gun, only to find nothing happens coz you're empty handed! And of course it doesn't help when you DO have a weapon equipped, but each time you aim it, it goes straight to other cops. There must be something we can edit in a file to solve this.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a fix for this as its just gta 5 being gta 5, that being said if you want to turn on free aim in the settings menu for a little realism and so you don't have to worry about auto aim that would be my suggestion 👍

Give to others with no expectation of receiving anything in return. -Unknown

I did think this might be the only solution. Oh well. Thanks for the reply.
