How to disable specific livery for AI vehicles ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, here's my problem :

I just downloaded a vehicle texture pack based on the homeland security agency. I just needed one file for one vehicle. The first problem was I already had a texture for that vehicle, and I didn't want  it was replaced by this new one. So I just renamed the texture file like "exp_sign_2" instead of "1"  in police3.ytd file, in result I have two liveries. The major problem is as the follow : I don't want that the AI use the Homeland texture. So, in order to resolve this problem, I searched a topic which talks about it, and I found a one with as answer that I should try to edit the backup file in the lspdfr/data, and replace "<Vehicle>police2</Vehicle>" with "<Vehicle livery="1">police3</Vehicle>". But I think the topic date from the LSPDFR 0.3 version, because in 0.4 it's with the "agency"  xml file.So I edited it and launched my game, and for the first minutes there weren't vehicles with that livery in the streets and near police stations, but when I engaged a pursuit and called local patrol backup, some vehicles with the homeland agency texture appeared, and I didn't understand why it happened ?! Does anyone have the solution for my problem ? Maybe it is because I use the Ultimate Backup plugin, and so itsn't the same xml file ?

PS : My apologizes if my english is not really clear, it is not my native language.

Since you're using Ultimate Backup, the XML you'll be editing is DefaultRegions, which is located in the UB sub folder  (plugins / LSPDFR / UB)

The format looks like this

<Vehicle chance="50" pax="1" pax_chance="25">POLICE</Vehicle>

To add in the designated livery, just add livery="1" after ped chance.

<Vehicle chance="50" pax="1" pax_chance="25" livery="1">POLICE</Vehicle>

You can add the same vehicle multiple times if you have multiple liveries for the agency.

<Vehicle chance="50" pax="1" pax_chance="25" livery="1">POLICE</Vehicle>

<Vehicle chance="50" pax="1" pax_chance="25" livery="2">POLICE</Vehicle>

In addition, Ultimate Backup has another XML called "Special Units".  You can add Homeland  Security as a special backup and make it so it responds in pursuits, felony stops, etc.

Good afternoon,

I've done the manipulations as you told me, and it works propley now, thank you very much !

However, I have another question ( the last ), which is about, indeed, the XML " Special Units " file. I downloaded some textures of "state trooper" vehicles, and I tried to add these vehicles with theses textures in the file " Special Units ". I worked correctly and I saw nothing which was wrong when I edited the file ; but when I launched my game, and LSPDFR was loading, it crashed. I will add the RagePluginHook file and the " Special Units " file I edited.
