0.4.4 - Missing LCPDFR Text Dialogue - e.g. ID results

Featured Replies

Hi,

Been playing this mod on and off for ages (also in GTAiv) - I usually install it, play it tirelessly for days, and then uninstall it when I get tired of random crashes, unhandled exceptions, etc. So I figured I'd pick it up again and see if there had been improvement made in the stability department. So I have a decent idea of how it's supposed to work.

With a legitimate copy of GTA V (Steam), the latest RPH and LCPDFR (as of today), it seems that most LCPDFR text dialogue never appear. For example, if I do a traffic stop and ask for ID, I never get the name. If I run a ped/vehicle check over the radio or the in-car computer, I see "Searching" in the lower right, but never get any results. I do get other dialogue, for example the hint to park a car outside the garage of the new appartment, and most LCPDFR menus also seem to work normally. It kinda feels like there's some ID database that's offline, so any request that pulls variables from that timeouts?

I tried installing some other long-time mods to see if maybe I could get the information that way and use it as a work around, but anything that seems to hook into LCPDFR doesn't work. For example, I can use Interaction+ to ask questions, and that works, but if I ask for ID through that, no result.

I don't know if this is due to my aspect ratio (32:9) - is this supported by LCPDFR? I wouldn't assume that to be the issue, but I don't see these issues reported elsewhere, and it's the only "special" thing about my system, that I can think of. My PC has plenty of memory, a 6C12T CPU and a RTX2070. The game and the mod runs fine.

I don't have any logs - I got a bit tired after dealing with all of the above and then trying two callouts in a row, where if I asked the ped to get out of the car, because the ped wanted to speed off instead, it crashed the mod. It's a issue that's been in the mod as long as I can remember. So I kinda "rage-deleted" the files including the log, but figured I should check if at least it's a known issue with some timeline on addressing it, or if I'm stumbling onto some totally unique here.

Kind regards,

Nico
