Keybinding Modifiers ELS and LSPDFR

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I'm trying to make my key bindings work well together, but I also find it's hard to separate conflicts, keep key bindings in order, and all that. Particularly because everyone uses the Microsoft system for setting keys using a code number in place of the actual keystroke.

To combat this, I've decided just to section off a side of the keyboard to keep things simple. So U, I, O, and P for example would be ELS bindings, and then I want to make LSPDFR bindings Ctrl+U, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+O, and Ctrl+P. Or vice versa.

To my frustration, there's no elaboration on how to properly ad modifiers to either key bindings in either mod.

The first question is, how do I add key modifiers to ELS? The guide shows me how to specify normal keys, but doesn't explain how to give them a ctrl modifier.

As for lspdfr, the keys.ini has a slot for modifiers, but I don't know how I need to format it. Using the microsoft key code? leftcontrol? LCtrl?

Finally, if I'm using a modifier key for another mod, say it's ALT+J, it'll still activate ELS if the key is just J (with no modifier). Am I to assume ELS doesn't care about modifiers?

Final note, I use stream deck as well, between playing DCS, Elite Dangerous, IL2, War Thunder, GTA V, and Cities Skylines, my mind and muscle memory can't possibly keep up with all the bindings, so I just consolidate everything on my keyboard, use modifiers, and then program them into stream deck..

Hi tman,

Some examples of keys that LSPDFR uses:

Keyboard
LControlKey
A = A key
B = B key

Controller
DPadLeft
A = A button
B = B button
X = X button
Y = Y button
RightThumb = clicking the right thumbstick in

As far as I'm aware, ELS doesn't allow you to add your own modifiers in. If it's any help, I've disabled almost all of the LSPDFR keys and replaced them with BejoIjo's plugins instead. You can also lock/unlock ELS controls by using the Scroll Lock key on your keyboard.

Hope this helps,

Zen

I'll keep that in mind! Cheers.
