this is for a new lcpdfr install. When I run the plugin, I get the splash screen that says that it expects version 1604 of the game, but I am running version 877. How do i go about patching my game to 877? I am not running steam, I am using the rockstar games install. Game works fine without the mod....any help would be appreciated. I could not figure out how to update the game after doing some searching. Seemed like it needs to be ran via steam.

Try This

 

Go to your GTAVLauncher in your directory / Right Click and select "Create Shortcut"

Right click on the GTAVLauncher - Shortcut then go to properties

 

You will see "Target"  in the box to the right go to the end of the last character and do a space then type               "Verify"              [with quotes] 

 

So it will look something like this

 

"C/gtav/GTAVLauncher - Shortcut" "verify"      Click OK

Now double click on the GTAVLauncher - Shortcut and see if it will verify the files and update anything that is missing like the GTAV Update to the current version

 

When completed you can delete that Shortcut file or just do not use it unless you need it again.
