rage plug in hook will not load

i've installed lspdfr and the rage plug in just like it says and have even watched some videos on how to install it just to make sure im doing it right. however when i try to launch the rage plug in it starts up and then immediately closes after it says validating hook and validating system. did i do something wrong?
