So the last couple days I was trying to fix the black screen load crash. The moment when you load rage plugin hook and the lspdfr crashes when trying to load. This is (as far as I tested) cause when you add vehicle add one, anything that will change the character or lspdfr itself. Call outs cause this as well.

 

the error will be something related to the Ambient thread. That will be the one you will see in the logs before it crashes. 

 

Upon tesring i found out that it appears to be something with the character creation of LSPDFR. Upon réinstallation of the lspdfr the folder with the character does not get removed. So a reinstall won’t help the issue. 

 

This is how I fixed that issue:

1. Go to the main folder of GTA V

2. Find the folder called lspfdr and open it.

3. Find the folder “char” and open that one as well.

4. Remove the 2 files that are named of the character name you created, and remove the two files that are called “New Character” 

5. Launch gta and everything should be working, you will need to create a new character. (Or not if you prefer using a trainer to set the character and use force duty to go on duty)

 

i have yet to confirm that the New Character file is causing the issue together with the character file.

 

i will try to find more solutions for lspdfr crashes.

hey long time ago and many updates in between but did you find a definative solution to this, im have the same or very similar issue.
