RagePluginHook crashing in loading screen

Featured Replies

G'day,

So I came back to LSPDFR after a while seeing as 0.4 came out and haven't been able to launch the game without crashing. The first issue I had was that RPH wasn't actually loaded with the game but this was fixed by going forced windowed on startup. The issue I am facing now is when I am loading into RPH, the game crashes unexpectedly. This occurs every time.

Yes, it is a vanilla game version.

No, there are no plugins enabled.

No, it isn't pirated.

Yes, I have searched everywhere for a fix and come to no avail.

Literally, any help is appreciated.

Anyone ?

This fixed mine after I was having a similar problem. In your main GTA5 folder look for a file called dinput8.dll. Make a copy of that file somewhere and then delete it from your GTA5 folder. Start up LSPDFR now and see if it runs without crashing. If it loads into the game and everything is fine then that file is your problem. You need that file though otherwise many features will not work. I used an older dinput8.dll file and it fixed my problem.

This didn't work for me. Still the same issue.

One other thing you can try is unchecking the option that automatically loads LSPDFR plugin in RagePluginHook and instead loading it manually once you are in game. That seems to help with some of the crashes I was experiencing as well.

There are NO plugins enabled at all. That's what has me stumped.
