Social Club Error 1005

Featured Replies

So when I go to move my X64 folder to the mods folder the game wont load and I get social club error 1005 come up. If I pull the folder and place it back in the GTAV folder the game loads. Any ideas?

I was able to fix via Steam; all I did was right click on GTA V in my Library, select Properties, under Local Files select Verify Integrity of Game Files. I'm assuming that when I reverted to a clean back-up and started downloading mods again, the social club download was corrupted, this reinstalled a few things and i was back to playing GTA in no time. Hope this helps.

Instead of physically moving the update and x64 folder into your mods folder, copy and paste them. The x64 and update folder need to remain in the main GTA V directory for the game to run. you are just making a copy of them for your mods folder.

Came to say that this was my issue. Accidentally moved them instead of copying them.

Validated the game, it reinstalled. Hoping I don't have to completely redo all the mod downloads. I don't think it touched anything additional, but if any items were modified I'm sure it replaced them with originals.

I like to pretend.

I'm pretty sure you are suppose to copy the x64 and update folders than copy and paste them into the new Mods folder.
