hello everyone, im new at lspdfr and im getting experience!

so i have a question that I'll be happy if you would help me :D

i got a car model from this website and it only has one xxx_sign_1, i mean one slot to put skin on it. and it means there is no other skin to change randomly in the game or whenever you want to select the vehicle.

so i mean, can i add another xxx_sign_1 to put another skin into model ??? i saw some model that had 3 of this xxx_sign_1 (xxx_sign_1 - xxx_sign_2 - xxx_sign_3)

i imported a model manually and it didn't work.

i hope you understand what im talking about :( thanks

You can either replace the current livery, which you will need to make sure the livery you want has the exact same name as the livery in the .ytd.

 

If you're asking about multiple liveries, most vehicles can.  There are some rare cases where the author makes it so the vehicle is stuck to one, but I haven't seen that happen in a while.  As you mentioned, if you want multi liveries, you'd name the livery the same as sign_1, except add sign_2

 

For example, your screenshot.  Say I want more Explorer liveries.

 

I'd rename the one I want to add to exp_sign_2

 

and so forth depending on how many you want.

 

Do note a few things:

 

1) In OpenIV, you need to be in edit mode to add liveries.

 

2) If it's not working for you, check the vehicles.meta entry for that slot you're trying to modify. In order to enable multi livery, a flag needs to be present.  In the meta, look for the <flags> section.  If you do not see FLAG_HAS_LIVERY, add it.  This will allow your multi liveries to work.

thanks for the answer, but the flag was in the correct status. i mean there was FLAG_HAS_LIVERY.

and also i added another exp_sign_2 as the same type. but still, it does not show me the other textures.

Most likely.  Open the +hi.ytd and look to see if there are liveries in it.  If there are, replace the ones in here as well.

i replaced the first one (exp_sign_1)  which was existed. and also it is working and the first texture will be shown in the game.

but there was no any exp_sign_2 or 3 and i added manually and they are still not working 😞

im really confused 😞

im using lspdfr and then im going to duty and then going to garage to select the car and when im switching between them to see the other textures, nothing will be shown. i mean only the first texture that i replaced. but for the other vehicles when im doing same, i'll see the other textures.

Try using your trainer instead to flip through the liveries.
