LSPDFR ran great, now huge FPS drops? please help

Featured Replies

Hey all, so I am gaming GTA5 on a Microsoft surface book 2 with intel I7-8650U CPU and a NVIDIA GTX 1060 dedicated GPU on windows 10, 64 bit. I got into modding only a few weeks ago so I am relatively new. up until just a few days ago, I could run GTA5 and LSPDFR with pretty high graphics settings, R.D.E. installed, Better visuals and make visuals great again, all police slots changed with custom cars which also were reskinned and probably a dozen to 16 different modifications ranging from all of Albo's mods to small things like ambient FX script and change phone to start button. ontop of that I made edits and additions to the RDE carvariations to accommodate different vehicles in policeold slots.  I would rarely see any performance drops or FPS drops, only when expected (shitshow of peds, explosions and general mayhem, or just trying to use to many plugins at once.). then, I began to get what I believe is called texture popping issues after playing for 20-30 minutes. (textures of the road, buildings and foilage took a long time to load, textures of water would come over freeways or overlap, and mild to moderate FPS drops). this progressively got worse and turned into occasional whole game crashes as well.

most recently installed mods:

-OJ callouts,

-Cheepcallouts update

-sticky wheels

-brake lights

-WILDERNESS callouts

-

What I have tried:

-ensuring system temps are decent; running a 5 fan cooling pad.

-defragged laptop, no change.

-system restart, no change

-ran game pluggin in and unplugged, even though both settings are at high performance. no change.

-disabling all plugins, no huge change.

-setting priority in task manager to high, no huge change.

-ran game without the mods folder, no huge change. actually made it worse.

-ensured NVIDIA settings were correct and dedicated GPU is being utilized.

-updated geforce drivers

-downloaded advanced system care, utilized most of the functions including the driver booster. FPS of normal play back up to 60 +, LSPDFR still suffers just the same.

-tried this "mod" or script, whatever you want to call it. made things infinitely worse when used. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/lag-world-not-loading-fix-simple-easy

-fiddling with in-game graphics settings, very minimal change.

-changed settings.xml dof value and SSAO and POSTFX values as suggested by Tryte from youtube. no huge change

-deleted contents of %temp% folder and prefetch folder as suggested by Tryte from youtube. no huge change.

Where I am at now:  GTA5 in regular story mode but with lspdfr loaded runs smooth as butter with still pretty high graphics settings. As soon as I go on duty and begin driving around, the FPS drops come!! This did not happen before, so I know its not due to my system capabilities or the number of plugins I have installed, nor my mods folder!! someone, please help me resolve this. I apologize if I left out any important or useful info, please let me know if I can provide it.
