Hey everybody, so I'm trying to make the trophy truck into a police car, not with lights and textures, but just like adding sirens to it and ability to pull people over with it. 

To start I took the trophytruck.yft, .ytd and _hi.yft files and renamed them to "trophytruckpolice" then I went into the .meta files and copied the lines for trophytruck and changed the names to "trophytruckpolice" and changed the siren number to "13" I believe. 

I was able to get the truck to spawn under the new name but the tires are white and when I try to get into the truck the game crashes. 

What did I do wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't turn a vehicle into a police vehicle by doing what you described.  You'd need to use zmod and add lights to make it a proper police vehicle.
