The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

LSPDFR Modded Police Cars, Uniforms and Sirens carrying over to base game.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm quite new to LSPDFR so please mind if this question is stupid, but I decided today to make sure that all my modded cars, sirens and uniforms would be not carried over to the base GTA 5 game. When I launched GTA from steam, rage hook did not launch and therefore all my plugins and scripts didn't launch as I hoped. But once I got in game I noticed that the police models were still my modded ones even though I didn't launch from ragehook. I then looked in OPEN IV to confirm that I didn't accidentally install the vehicle models straight into the gta 5 directory instead of the mods folder and I could not find any modded textures or cars in my base GTA 5 vehicle files. However, the only thing that still launched from the base game was script hook and ELS.  So, could script hook be causing these models to stay? Is gta for some reason launching from the mods folder? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Did you rename your mods folder before you launched? If not you game will still pull your mods from the folder no matter if you launched from rage or not. All you have to do is just rename it to something else and you should be good.

Thanks for the tip I’ll try it out when I get home. I didn’t rename the mods folder

ideally you want backups/copys.

like i have one for modding, one for online, one for single player.

if you only have one base gta v folder within your documents then you're gonna need a fresh install of gta to play online w/o getting banned, as for single player same applies if you've modded anything outside of the mods folder then even if you re-name or move the mods folder, the modded files will still carry over to single player as far as i'm aware.

I know I can backup game files on steam, but will that backup the already modded gta? Or would it backup a fresh copy of GTA?

it'll backup the current files of gta so the modded version, i wouldn't advise backing up with steam anyways just go into your gta v directory folder, go back a folder then just copy the gta v folder. But again you're proberbly gonna need a fresh install of gta. Always have backups for this reason can't stress that enough 🙂
