Vehicle meta question

Featured Replies

Starting to add vehicles into my game, but I have a question. Let's say I have one file that says to drag and paste their meta into OIV, and then I get another vehicle file with another meta, would dragging and pasting the new meta overwrite the old one? if is does, what would happen?

Yes, your meta would get overwritten by theirs.  I've never used the provided by the author,  I always just modify my line for the car and it has never failed me.  I recommend doing this, especially when all vehicles.meta for law enforcement are the same.  The only significant changes are to the handlingid and audionamehash.

So for example, the file I wanted was for police2, but it includes all the other vehicles in the meta file,  I could just copy & paste the police2 portion onto a general meta that I have?

You can if you want, or not at all.  Just go into your meta and make the changes yourself.
