Hey guys, I need some help.

Featured Replies

First off I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this. I'm trying to install an FPIU the problem is every time I turn with the vehicle it flips over. This has been an issue with all FPIU's I seem to download. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it.

So if I put it in the sheriff2 slot would I go into the meta file and change the sheriff2 handlingID to something else?

Okay I will. Thank you.

You don't need the file he linked, it's completely unnecessary.  Go into the vehicles.meta and change the handlingid to gresley

Realistic Driving changes the driving experience for cars, and what I read says the mod does not work well with replacement/modded cars.

Just go into the meta, find the handlingid for the slot you want to change, and change handlingid.  See here:

<modelName>scpdu5</modelName>
      <txdName>scpdu5</txdName>
      <handlingId>gresley</handlingId>
      <gameName>scpdu5</gameName>

You're welcome.  I also recommend changing the audionamehash to gresley as well, that way it sounds similar to an SUV.

Yep, the vehicles.meta.  From there, find the handlingid line.  Change that to gresley.

Now, look down a bit to <audioNameHash />

Change that to

<audioNameHash>gresley</audioNameHash>

<modelName>scpdu5</modelName>
      <txdName>scpdu5</txdName>
      <handlingId>gresley</handlingId>
      <gameName>scpdu5</gameName>
      <vehicleMakeName />

      <animConvRoofDictName>null</animConvRoofDictName>
      <animConvRoofName>null</animConvRoofName>
      <animConvRoofWindowsAffected />
      <ptfxAssetName>null</ptfxAssetName>
      <audioNameHash>gresley</audioNameHash>

You don't need to edit the handling.meta at all.  Editing this file is usually for people who want to perfect how a vehicle handles.  Changing the handlingid will suffice.

I recommend just manually changing the options yourself instead of copy pasting.  🙂

You may of forgot a closing tag.  Double check what you edited and make sure you didn't make a mistake.

If you can't see an issue, please copy and paste the line you're editing.

That's because you changed the base of the meta to what Gio has in his game. What slot were you changing the metas? You changed the model name and game name, therefor the game is trying to find a meta for the slot you were trying to fix the flipping for and can't find it because you changed the meta name.

Metas are very confusing at first, so if you need help, i'll do the best I can to help.

There are also a few good YouTube tutorials on how to edit metas, I definitely suggest taking advantage of those.
