CRashing after going on duty

Recommended Posts

Same thing happening to me. I did a complete reinstall of my game then added LSPDFR/Rage/scripthook/scripthookVdotNet - no other mods. Starts up and after going on duty it crashes after a couple of minutes.

Actually don’t even need to go on duty - just crashes after a couple of minutes regardless

It was all working fine, could go on duty spawn vehicles, do traffic stops respond to jobs etc then it would crash after maybe 5 mins or so.

I figured I’d messed something up so I deleted everything, made a fresh copy of GTA from vanilla folder and then added LSPDFR, rage, and scripthook/scripthookVdotNet.

Didn’t add any other mods at all, nothing in OpenIV, no mods folder. Tried running just LSPDFR by itself and it still crashed.

Just tried running vanilla GTA and it still crashed so it’s obviously the the game. I’m now in the process of re-downloading the game from steam 🙄.

Once that’s done I’ll try again from scratch. It only started messing up like this after the latest GTA update so I suspect it’s somehing to do with my game not updating correctly. Fingers crossed the re-install works.

Have you played around with GTA V in anyways (i.e. using a mods folder?) it could be something installed incorrectly is causing crashes when it loads up.

See my above comment 👍 hopefully the fresh re-install sorts it out!!
