The vanilla carvariations are hard-coded in.  You'd need to add a new carvariations line to an existing carvariations file.  I use mpchristmas2's carvariations.  In the topic linked below you'll find a sample carvariations line you can use.  No edits needed unless you need to change vehicle name.
