New User Question about your mod

Other than role playing as a cop, I'd like to better understand how this mod may or may not effect the way I interact with the game in general. So let me ask...does it allow my character to earn spendable in-game money that I can spend in any way I like (in other words can I earn a living in gta5 as a cop by using this mod)?

...and if the answer is no, you do not get paid, or paid well enough to make an in-game living then can i ask is there any other reason to use this mod other than having something to do by going out on the police calls themselves? Or is going out on the calls the only benefit it was designed to offer currently?

Thanks, looking forward to trying it.

Hi there BigShot.

LSPDFR itself does not have a monetary system in place.  You do not earn money at all while on duty.  If you play as Michael, Trevor, or Franklin, you will have their account balance and can spend money.  However, if you choose to be a custom ped, say with EUP - Emergency Uniforms Pack, it will tell you that you have no spending money.  Going off of your last bit of text, it almost sounds like you're wanting LSPDFR to be a 100% simulator, and if it's not there's no reason for it.

LSPDFR is not really meant to be a simulator.  Aspects are close to if not accurate to real life, but at the end of the day, you're still playing Grand Theft Auto V, so it's not going to be a simulator.  LSPDFR by itself is fun, but since it only has two-three callouts, it can get boring.  Adding in callout packs is a must, and depending on how many you choose to add, you'll always have a variety of callouts.  That, along with other add-on mods will really enhance LSPDFR and make it long lasting.  I enjoy the hell out of LSPDFR, it's the only reason I still play GTA V.

Hi and thanks for the info... no i wasnt expecting it to be a simulator.

I mean, GTA5 afterall is extremely arcade-like so Im not expecting the mod to be anything like a simulator.

I was merely trying to figure out if it actually interacts in any way with the base game by making itself a paying job, or if it's purpose is solely about just enjoying performing the calls. I understand you are saying the latter. I just wasn't sure earlier because I read about a script for an old version of this mod (police life or something like that?) that was supposed to allow you to earn money for doing the calls and after reading now that version .4 isn't too far off that perhaps this feature or something similar was working now. But I guess not.

Thanks again for the info.

I believe Police Life was a mod for LSPDFR, but it was not something that LSPDFR had built in.

You're welcome. :)
