Can I set Captcha type?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible for either myself or possibly an admin to set the type of Captcha security verification for my profile when downloading mods.  I am having extreme difficulty reading the letters to type in to prove im human. I eventually get one I can read but sometimes it takes awhile.  I do fine with the photo selection style ones.  If everything goes very well, Ill be having eye surgery within the next few months, but even then I don't know the end results. Please let me know if anything like this might be possible.

Thanks,

Hi there,

While I can sympathize, because sometimes the captcha is difficult as hell, and I personally have had to re-do it 3 three times, there's nothing we can do to change it.  I've found that the captcha is very random  - sometimes your first captcha will be easy, while the next one stumps you for a few seconds.  The best advice I can give is to keep trying.

I'm not sure if this would be beneficial to you or not, but if you hold CTRL and move your mouse wheel up, you can enlarge the page and the captcha, making it bigger and a bit easier to read.  You can then do the same thing, just move the mouse wheel down to get the page back to normal size.

Thanks, I kinda figured it was not changeable but thought it was worth a shot at least.  I will give the zoom function a shot. I hadn't thought of that.
