I just installed this mod as well as rage on Steam GTA 5 stock install. When the mod loads, it just spams the hell out of the left side of my screen saying it crashed. There aren't police stations either. I did everything flawlessly and don't understand why this is happening. I have also installed Script Hook V and scripthook.net which appear to be working fine, thinking they would solve the problem. They didn't. I have also tried starting it manually after the game has loaded and hooked and that didn't work either.

In the log, the part in between the equals signs is spammed constantly.

It would be really nice if someone would reply to me, because I know for a fact that this is either very new or just has absolutely no video tutorials anywhere or is caused by a very stupidly obvious problem like perhaps this is not a stock install as I think it is or something like that, of which I am never going to know.

 

I am using Windows 7 (wow!) and have tried Albo's troubleshooter which shows no errors.

 

I have decided that I will try reinstalling the game, which is going to take many, many, many hours. I started reinstalling ten minutes ago and it's not even done preallocating. This is why I hate dealing with these things.

 

 

So far it looks like this is a long time issue that nobody ever answers. I've never played this before and it looks like I'm never going to be able to.

I don't mean to be rude, but why post here for help if you're not going to wait for someone to post and just reinstall the game?  There is a very good chance this could've been solved by changing one single setting in RagePluginHook.

Reinstalling the game is unlikely to fix anything since I had already done so since the last time I had used any mods. Sorry, I wasn't actually expecting anyone to reply at least not for some time because the only other threads I've seen about this problem were posted half a year ago and were never answered (and others were outside of this forum). Not that I'm trying to diss you or anyone else for not responding to them or not having responded to me five seconds after I posted... I just wanted to get this out there because I knew reinstalling would take ages.

 

Also, thankfully the game itself is installing much faster now.

Start Rage as if you're going to play.  When the Rage logo appears, click the gear icon in the lower left.  Now, check under all the Rage options for "enable counter measures against online vehicles".  If this option is checked, uncheck it, save an launch.
