Stuck on loading screen

I’ve received help on how to fix being stuck on a loading screen and they have said delete the mods folder and re-install it, where would I find a place to re-install the folder!?  I am also very new to lspdfr and modding

After an update to GTA V, the update.rpf file that comes with the game is replaced with a newer version.

In order to install custom DLC packs, changes have to be made to your mods folder copy of update.rpf to add your custom DLC to the dlclist.xml and have the game load it in. Usually also a custom gameconfig.xml is installed as well as this is needed to raise certain limits on the number of vehicles etc.

However, because the game's update.rpf and your copy of update.rpf in the mods folder are out-of-sync, the game will now not launch.

You should launch OpenIV, go into edit mode and go to your mods folder. It should prompt you at the top to copy the new update.rpf to replace the one in your mods folder. Then, you must re-apply the changes to the new mods\update.rpf that are needed for the DLCs you have installed. Depending on which packs you have, DLC installation help should provide some guidance on this step.

As you might guess, I make PeterUCallouts. I love working to bring LSPDFR players the kind of callouts that strike a good balance between realism and fun and are stable & varied!

Unfortunately I cannot offer support via PM -- please use the forums, so that others may benefit from your solutions!
