Rage Plugin Hook doesn't start when I run it as admin. Instead, it starts running in the background for a few seconds, and then it closes. That's weird, since my game runs normally when I launch it through Steam. I've tried disabling my antivirus, reinstalling GTA, verifying game files, updating RAGE and LSPDFR, running LSPDFR Troubleshooter, but still I can't get it to work, like it used to some months ago. I'm also using Windows 10, and I've also attached an image of how my GTA folder looks.

By the way it looks you might be missing some flies! or it might just be me  but just to make sure ! redownload Ragehookplugin ver 60  and drag and paste into your folder and launch the game and see what happens!

Just tried that. Still it doesn't launch.

Have you tried launching it without administrator permissions? Please also try right clicking RagePluginHook.exe, choosing Properties, and making sure Run as administrator is not ticked.

Yes, and still I get the same result. Spinner next to cursor indicating it loads, and then nothing.

Could you try launching it while holding Shift? (Keep holding Shift!)

Hopefully this will force it to display the settings window.

Didn't work :(. It's like there's something blocking Rage, since it runs as a background process for a few seconds. It's not my antivirus though. Also, do you know where I can find the log file for Rage ?

RagePluginHook.log should be in the root of your GTA V folder.

Lol it's not even there. Maybe because Rage never launched.

If you right-click RagePluginHook.exe and choose Properties, do you see an Unblock button to click?

Nope, not there. Where would it be located ? Under General ?

Yeah, it would be on the General tab if it were there.

 

Can you hold Shift and right-click on an empty space within the GTA V folder, then click Open command window here?

 

From there, please type RagePluginHook.exe and press Enter.

 

If this doesn't display any interesting messages, could you then type:

 

echo %ERRORLEVEL%

and press Enter.

Here's what it says. I typed 'echo %ERRORLEVEL% as well but nothing happened.

Whoops... wasn't expecting it to be a PowerShell window. My commands won't have been correct.

 

Please try:

 

& .\RagePluginHook.exe

followed by

 

Write-Host $LastExitCode

 

Apparently Microsoft replaced cmd with PowerShell in the file explorer.

 

I've tried what you said, but nothing happened. Here's how it looks:

Okay Try This. I remember when i had something like this!

 

1) uninstall gta v and then restart the PC

 

2) reinstall Gta v  update the game!

 

3)Make sure your operator system is fully updated 

 

4) download LSPDFR the Auto option and install! it will go thur a checklist if you have any red x on the checklist fix it!

 

4) download  the lastest Rageplugin and Drap and Drop to gta V main folder

 

5) now on the GTA V Folder  Path map

 

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games   ---Right click the Rockstar games folder  -left click properties go down to Attibutes and you will see read only check. you Must uncheck it and hit apply!

 

6)  make a shortcut of the Rageplugin launcher and add it to your desktop!

 

7) Launch the game--- with a new save! :)

 

The Game should 1000 percent work!   i learn working with ragehook and lspdfr  its best to do this on a clean install and a new save game! then if you want to add plugins add one at a time :) i know its slow but you would never have to waste 10 hours to 100 hours to figure out what went wrong :)

I did everything as you said, but still I have the same problem :(. Thanks for trying to help out though.

Question Can you start the Game when you launch the vanilla GTA v? If so then check out this topic then

 

 only because you  said  you have windows 10  maybe  this may work!  Dont know but worth a try
