Need some help with starting/installing

So i just got my copy of gta iv (yeah in 2017) and i really wanted to play this mod but it doesent work. I did now want to play online so i removed dbsound.dll or whatever that was called and i now have xlive.dll. but the game still dosent work. I dont really get it, any help?

I know it says unknown game version, so that is mainly the problem (I think). how do i fix.

If you've just downloaded/installed GTA IV, you will need to downgrade GTA IV to version 1.0.7.0. There is a good tutorial here.
