GTA V Crashes when running the game via RagePluginHook

Featured Replies

GTA V sits on a black screen for about 30 seconds before crashing when running the game Via RagePluginHook.

Game works normally when ran directly through Steam.

Currently using:

Windows 10 (64-bit) Fall Creator's Update

Rage Hook Plugin Version 0.57.1152.13084 PUBLIC ALPHA

GTA V Version: 1180.2 (According to the GTAV.exe File Details)

I have tried disabling the Game Bar and Game DVR within Windows. I've tried running RagePluginHook as Administrator and in Compatibility mode. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and RagePluginHook. Changing the graphics settings to DirectX 10 / Windowed Mode.

Nothing I have tried has worked so far. If anyone has any, I'm open to suggestions.

Hello. I had the same exact problem you do, but now mine is working again. One thing I noticed that was different when the game didn't crash was that I didn't have any of my controllers plugged in. So, I proceeded to plug in my controller, restart my computer, launch GTA V, and it still didn't crash. I don't know if this will work for you, but hopefully it does. :)
