Black start-up screen

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new to LSPDFR. Downloaded it just fine with all the requirements like Rage plugin and whenever a mod specified another prerequisite - I got it. I started off with just Arrest Manager, Traffic Policer, ELS, Computer+,  and the SA State police vehicle pack. Ran just fine.

I started adding a couple other mods one by one, like LSPDFR+ and some others, and every time I do Rage starts GTA with a black screen with normal intro sounds. I force Direct 11 and Windowed mode. After not being able to troubleshoot I ended up deleting the GTA folder and replacing with a copy. It's gotta be an install error. Just looking for some insight...

Thanks.

UPDATE:

Happened again and I pinpointed when exactly it took place. Mods I downloaded and still able to launch the game via Rage: Arrest Manager, Traffic Policer, ELS, ScriptHook. I Also downloaded an updated Albo Common file just in case.

I then downloaded the ELS San Andreas State Police Pack and followed Read Me instructions. Tried to start via Rage and I got the black screen.

Also it should be noted that whenever I get this black screen, I have to force quit and if I try to type anything, such as in a browser, that application freezes. Restarting my computer solves the freezing.

HALP.
