GTA V uninstalled itself from Steam?

Featured Replies

Very weird. Started my Rage Plugin Hook and saw in the background "Grand Theft Auto V installing.", at first I thought it was an update but soon realized it wasn't an there wasn't one scheduled for today. Clicking install on GTA V and it says looking for existing files. I got to my directory and all my gta files are present. My computer took pretty long to start too right before I tried to play GTA. Maybe windows crashed? I don't see any crash reports or any evidence to this though. Very odd. Has it happened to anyone here before?

Programs don't just randomly uninstall themselves.  To be on the safe side I'd run a virus scan.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

I think I found it out, I reinstalled it and it basically just found out it was already installed after it checked for the existing files. Works and runs fine now, I'll keep an eye update and definitely run a virus scan.

Did it delete your old files?
