Add-On Police Car Issues

Featured Replies

I added in a good amount of add-on police cars today. I edited my vehicles.meta and the carvarations all correctly. When I load up my game and go on duty everything works fine. But when I go to pull someone over in one of the add-on cars it marks them on the map but, when I turn on my lights and siren they do not pull over. . Please help.

This sounds like an ELS issue.  Open your ELS INI and look for "ELSTrafCTRL", set to false.

Check the vehicles.meta for these vehicles.  Under flags, make sure it has FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE and FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT

Then check the carvariations and make sure they have sirensetting=1

That didn't work either. Here is my vehicle.meta and one of the carvariation files.

In the vehicles.meta, you have

FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE;

Remove the ";" in every spot you added it.  That should not be there at all.

Like that?

<flags>FLAG_HAS_LIVERY FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_DONT_SPAWN_IN_CARGEN FLAG_IS_OFFROAD_VEHICLE FLAG_HAS_INTERIOR_EXTRAS FLAG_REPORT_CRIME_IF_STANDING_ON FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE</flags>

Yes, however, you have two instances of FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT.  Delete one and you should be good.
