With the new version of GTA5 released there is a new update.rpf file. I am being prompted by openiv to replace the new update.rpf into my mods folder except this will replace everything there currently. Is there a way to get around this without having to replace all of the things i have already modded in my current mods folder. I would prefer not to install every vehicle over again and everything else.

Unfortunately, this is part of updating.  Currently, your vanilla update.rpf is on the latest game patch, while the update.rpf in your mods folder is still a version behind.  It won't work like that, you have to update the update.rpf in the mods folder.  You can try and manually back up your mods such as vehicles, peds, etc if you have a lot.

 

In the future, I strongly encourage you backup your game via this method, as it has kept me on 0.47 of Rage with all my mods working flawlessly.
