I downloaded lspdfr 2 days ago I am running a bunch of working mods no issues whatsoever. 

Except for ELS. I download it, install it and a police vehicle with ELS and it won't work. Pressing j does nothing and after installing car and ELS the top lightbar doesn't turn on just has 2 red squares on it. I've uninstalled ELS, uninstalled the and I have an up to date scripthook and rage. 

Help me bros

Please link to the pack you're trying to use.  Also, can you take a screenshot of these red squares?

tried both of these, also police1 works fine. FBI sheriff and all others don't. The red bars are just 2 parts of the lightbar permanently lit up. Like I said though, ELS doesn't even load I think. Pressing j does nothing

Make sure you're adding the ELS VCF to the pack_default folder and naming the VCFs the same as the cars.

Tried that. Nothing different happened. ELS should still work without the VCFs right? Not the lights but the program?

do I still need to install lspdfr after installing ELS like in LCPDFR?

If you're using an ELS car without a VCF it will not function.  The siren may still turn on via e, but the lights will be inoperable.  ELS vehicles require the VCF.  ELS is a standalone program.  All you need to run it is ScriptHookV.

Do you know of a matching charger/CVPI and a FPIU THAT I can use that has VCF files in the files?

The Redmond pack came with ELS VCFs the last I looked.  Please check the download again.

Alright can confirm ELS works perfectly with police1. Not with any others

Correct, day 15 under my mods folder.

i won't lie I didn't understand that the latest day was the correct location at first, so day 3 and 8 are messed up police files. Could this be affecting my ELS?

I highly doubt it, but please go back into the previous patchdays and delete the extras just to be sure.

 

Also, when you're in these vehicles and you try and bring up the ELS menu, does it work?

It does not. Ctrl + P. Does nothing. Except on police1

Open your ELS INI and look for "MaxActiveVehs".  What is the number set as?

No, you use the screenshot tool like a civilized human being! :P

 

In your third screenshot, notice how the POLICE VCF is right there?  That is where all the VCFs need to go.  The sub folders won't work.

My bad for not using screen shots (new to pC idk how) but that's a police xml doc not a vcf

I'm kidding!  Don't worry at all about using your phone camera.  As long as I can see the area we're working with it's all good!  Yes, put the files directly into the pack_default.  No sub folders.
