For some reason when i press F4 for the ragepluginhook command the game freezes as it should but the console doesnt show up but i can command things and it will happen but i cant see what i'm typing or anything.  Same thing with policesmartradio also doesnt show but the sounds of the radio works. but i cant see anything.  Used to work just fine before. Dont kow what happened.  I tried reinsatlling everything but still the same problem exists.

Go to the RagePluginHook Settings ---> Game settings ---> Command line switches check "Force Windowed mode" and "Force DirectX11" then save and launch.  You can change back to full screen once in game.

yoooo, this fixed the problem, but if i couldve seen this before i uninstalled gta 5 and then reinstalled it would have been much better.  Thanks man.

ok bro, i hope you can help me out with this too,  i installed visualsettings and coronas that made police lights way too bright for ELS,  do you know how to make it less bright.  Cause i cant play like that.

In OpenIV, go to mods / update / update / common / data.  Here you will find visualsettings.dat.  Extract this to your desktop.

 

Now open Visualsettings.dat, and look for these lines

 

car.defaultlight.emissive.day.on

car.defaultlight.emissive.night.on

 

Lower their numbers.

 

couldnt find them, but i found some but not default.  and everyone of them has 0.00 next to it.

The line I want you to change is there.

 

When you open visualsettings.dat, press CTRL F, and search "car.def".  You will then see car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on, there will be a day and night option.  For the day option, change it to 1000.00.  From here, you can continue decreasing or increasing the number based off what you need.  Remember, there has to be a .00 included.  So if you change it to 956, it has to be 956.00.

It's truly no worries.  The whole point of this forum is to ask questions and learn. :)  That I unfortunately cannot answer. :( The only way I know of decreasing light brightness is via visualsettings.dat.  I've never dived deep into the visualsettings editing.
