Question about RDE mod

Featured Replies

I installed Realism Dispatch Enhanced without reading the comments of the zones causing the game to crash and heard that it needs to be updated however is there a way to temporary disable something so my lspdfr and game works, without uninstalling completely? Thanks in advanced.

Unfortunately no.  RDE needs to be updated for it to work with the latest versions.

Alrighty, then comes my next question. What's the easiest way to go about getting rid of it for now? Don't see a openIV uninstaller

I've never used RDE, so I don't know if there is an easy way.  You might just have to do it manually.

I just responded to another topic, and although someone else may have an "easier" solution, the only way that I have been able to do it is one of two ways. The main issue when it comes to RDE after the update, is the gameconfig file.

A) Go through, find, and delete any file associate with RDE. It depends on how comfortable you are that you can find said files. An easy way to do that is just to look at the manual install zip and go to those locations and replace the files with the backup/original files that RDE replaced. There is a d/l out there that has the original gameconfig file out there that you can just replace. However, you will also need to delete off any other RDE type download, including the DLC packs that it creates.

B) All and all, in my opinion the "easiest" way to get rid of RDE for now, is to delete your mods folder and do a fresh install of everything. Yes it's time consuming, but the bright side is that it will teach you to keep backups of everything (I too have had to learn this lesson).

Both options of course are assuming that  you are utilizing a mods folder, and are not installing everything to your base GTA directory. If you are not using a mods folder, then you will most likely have to reinstall your game.

Looks like what I'll have to do. I already replaced every mod file with an original provided by the Rage plugin site
