Is it possible? I installed a mod for Police Interceptor(POLICE3) and for the Police Cruiser(POLICE) and they both have different VCF(.xml). I know we can't place them both at the same time, but I just thought that maybe you can apply the VCF of Police Interceptor(or vice versa) to Police Cruiser? Because if I want to drive the Interceptor with its VCF installed, the other police cruiser won't have its lights working.

 

p.s. I am new obviously

You can have multiple VCFs in at the same time, just not multiple VCFs for the same car.  Look at mine:

Ignore all my names, lol. I have a lot of standalone cars.  The default names should be game defaults:

 

POLICE

POLICE2

POLICE3

POLICE4

POLICET

RIOT

FBI

FBI2

SHERIFF

SHERIFF2

POLICEB

Okay, great, but I've tried naming them POLICE and POLICE3 but my game crashed after doing that. What could be wrong?

Clarify for me, please.  You name them POLICE and load into the game. At what point does it crash?

I placed the POLICE.xml which is the Police Cruiser and the POLICE3.xml(Police Interceptor) in the VCF container at the same time. It crashes while at the loading screen.

Please take screenshots of your ELS folder, the VCF folder, and please include the directory path.

 

Also, if you remove the VCFs, does it load?

Yes, if I don't have the VCFs, the game loads well.

 

The only issue is, I can't place more than one .xml in VCF container. Otherwise, my game will crash.

Please put the POLICE3.xml back in and take a screenshot of the pack_default folder.  Where did you install police3 vehicle files?

The police3.xml is placed inside the VCF container which is the pack_default folder.

I meant where did you place the POLICE3 vehicle files, the .yft, .ytd, and _hi.yft. :)

Ah, sorry about that.

According to the owner of the mod(POLICE3), it must be installed in GTAV\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday14ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf and so I did.

 

For the other mod(POLICE), patchday14ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

Have you tried just using the POLICE3 VCF?  Does it still crash, or no?  Trying to figure out if it actually is not letting you use multiple or if the issue is with POLICE3.

Yes, I have tried using just the POLICE3 VCF and it works well. No errors.

In your main GTA V directory, open up the ELS.INI.  Look for "MaxActiveVehs = ".  What is the number?
