ELS Stutter on GTA V

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm currently running the latest version of ScriptHook V and a slightly dated version of RageHook (although I do not even have any scripts loaded). Two things here:

- When running with ScriptHook, game takes considerably longer to load (add about 5 mins).

- With the most recent version of ELS, everything works although when using any keys while in an ELS vehicle, there's a brief 1-3 second stutter however the light changes and everything. I've tried with two different ELS vehicles & configurations.

Otherwise, the game is running smoothly even with ELS lights on, it's just when I use/press an ELS key that this happens.

Help.

You can't have one thing updated, and another outdated.  If ScriptHookV is updated, Rage needs to be updated as well.

I'm running on a bit of an older version of GTAV, so newest rage won't be compatible, it seems. I'll try downgrading the ScriptHook, I want to avoid updating the game if I can. Where can I find older versions?

Unfortunately, you can't.  ScriptHookV is always kept updated to the very latest GTA and Rage.  If you don't have a backup ScriptHookV for the previous version, you're kind of shit out of luck.  If one thing is updated, everything else needs to be as well. To verify if the issue is with ScriptHook, you can move the ELS VCF file for the car onto your desktop and go in game.  You can now turn on the lights and siren via pressing "E".  The game will not be utilizing ELS for this vehicle.  If the stuttering doesn't happen, it's confirmation the issue is with the incompatibility of versions.

If it still stutters, then my theory is proven wrong.

Hey,

Not sure if you guys ever figured this out. If not, edit your ELS.ini file in your GTA main directory. You need to set the following section to false in the following section of the .INI.

[ AUDIO ]
BtnClicksBtwnSrnTones = true
BtnClicksBtwnHrnTones = true

Set to false for both. The stuttering is caused by the button tones.
