No Callout Audio

Featured Replies

Newbie here... Ive been playing lspdfr for a couple of months now with very little issues. The other day I was playing and realized when I would receive a callout or call for back up the was no audio from dispatch. I assumed it was caused by a recently installed callout pack or mod. I ended up starting all over with a clean gta file and only installed lspdfr, no mods. I went into the game to verify callout audio and it still was not there. I went ahead and installed my mods and continued playing thinking it was no big deal and ill get over it, but its bothering me now. I can hear the radio que sound but nothing is said by dispatch. If I use smart radio to call in a license plate the dispatch audio works fine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In your main GTA V directory you should have an lspdfr folder, and within it "Police Scanner". In this folder should be all of the audio folders for callout packs.  Can you confirm if it's there?

Yes, GTA V dir>LSPDFR>POLICE SCANNER. When I open police scanner there are audio files within.

Are there audio files for your callouts, though?   Go ahead and take a screenshot, please.

Screen Shot of contents in "police scanner" folder

The Police Scanner folder should be in the lowercase lspdfr folder. :)

Ya, sorry for the confusion. I renamed that last night to see if it made any difference. I just changed it back. It is in the lower case lspdfr folder.

It may not make a difference, but within the Police Scanner folder you have another Police Scanner.  Try placing this onto your desktop, please.  See if it fixes it.

Removed the extra "police scanner" folder but no change. Still no dispatch audio

Redownload LSPDFR, except only add in the files that go in the main GTA V directory.  (Except RagePluginHook. That one in the LSPDFR download is outdated)

Should I start with a clean gta v folder or just re download and drag and drop?

For now, just drag and drop.  Maybe you accidentally missed a few files.

just want to make sure I do this right. I need to drag and drop the highlighted items correct?

Everything except the folders.  If you replace the folders, you'll have to redownload all your mods.

Unfortunately, I do not have a solution for this.  I Google searched several different terms trying to find a new thread that had an issue.   I did find a few threads on here that reported the same issue, but there wasn't a resolution to the issue.  I'm not sure if this is a rare bug, or if something obvious is missing.

Do me two favors, please.

1) Run this troubleshooter and see if it reports any problems.

2)  Move your mods folder out of your GTA V directory.  Once you've done this, verity integrity of game cache.
