I am experiencing a problem with crashes in my GTA V game. 

i am running the latest version of the game and the latest version of RPH

My game loads for about 30 seconds it goes through all the rockstar warnings and stuff (like not modding thegame :) ) i see the RPH loading screen then when i get to the second background then the loading icon stops and CRASH

i have tried running as an administrator and same problem

i also tried to run just the game itself but i get a crash as well. i get to the main menu and i click story mode and maybe 5-10 seconds after CRASH

My game has started to be more and more unstable over the past few weeks

the last thing i did to my game was delete the carvariations and vehicles.meta in Open IV

 

any and all help will greatly be appreciated

Wait, you deleted the carvariations and vehicles.meta entirely?

I removed them from Open IV

Why?  The vehicles.meta and carvariations are needed.

i was having a problem with spawning vehicles using trainer and i got rid of them to replace them with a newer version

i have since replaced them but i just want to make sure they are in the right place

i have vehicles.meta located at: GTA V>mods>update>update.rpf>common>data>levels>gta V

 

carvariations located: GTA V>update>update.rpf>common>data

I just wanted to make sure you actually did replace them. :P

 

Since you said this has been a long term issue, it might be best if you start trying to troubleshoot by either removing or reverting changes you've made.  You could even temporarily move your mods folder to your desktop and load into your game via Rage to see how it responds.  If it works flawlessly, you know it's something within the mods folder.

great i will definitely start playing around with the mods i have installed

Since the last time i have removed my mods folder and i have been able to get back into the game but so far i have not found the reason for my game crashing

It has to be one of the mods.   The only other possibility is if you're on Windows 10 and have the damn creator's update.

how can i tell if there if i have the creator update (without knowing the game crashing)
