Good Afternoon everyone!

 

Just getting back into the game after a 2 month break...

updated the game via steam... to 1.0.1103.2

updated ragehook to 55

updated scripthookv to 1.0.1103.2

updated scripthookdotnet

went to update all my mods by ALBO1125 without issue..

all the requirements for ragehook are installed and up to date.

 

ragehook.exe

gtav.exe

gtavlauncher.exe  are the only exe in the GTA V folder.

 

 

deleted the ragehook shortcut on the desktop, made the new one... it immediately pops up saying that ragehook has crashed and to either close or look for solutions.

 

when i open ragehook from it's zip file it starts and runs, but says that the version of the game is 1032..and that ragehook 55 is meant for 1103.

re-verified game cache with steam, all was well. restarted computer, no go.

everything is cleared green with my anti virus, and is marked to run in admin mode for windows 7.

 

any ideas? Thank you for the help.

Are you able to launch GTA V normally and go into the game?

Yeah I can run the game normally through steam without issues.

I actually just caught while loading the game in the lower right it said build 1011.....

where the hell is that coming from?

Make sure the update.rpf in your mods folder is also updated.

Are you using a mods folder, though?

 

If you are, then yes.  Delete the update.rpf within your mods folder, then remake it.

Ahh yes.. I remember that now. Alright... Im updating the mods folder update.rpf

standby for update.

okay. So i had openiv update the update.rpf in the mods folder.

 

same issue with ragehook.

still showing version 1032...

Are you running on compatibility mode, though?  If so, try disabling that.

Yeah.. i was running rage for compatibility mode for windows 7...

I just disabled it, same thing.. crashes right away when attempting to launch it from the gta v directory.

it will run out of its zip file... and tell me the game is still version 1032

Please post a screenshot of your GTA V directory.

Chances are, something isn't updated.  What is the GTA5.exe config?  I only have the GTAVLauncher and GTA5.exe.

im not sure. i can try removing it from the directory and trying again.

i think something got screwed up when i reverted the game awhile back... i dont think i reverted it back to the latest before doing these updates..

That could be as well.  I had someone else recently who converted their game back, but it didn't work well for them. You can try removing it, but it may not matter.

it didn't make a difference removing it.

I will just do a clean install and go from there. hopefully that works.
