Hi guys,

 

Having a problem with gta. 

 

When loading the game up through rage, about half way through to the point of loading LSPDFR the game crashes and quits?

I have managed to get a report. (Please see attached)

 

Havent got a clue what the problem is. But if someone could help me that would be great!

When your game crashes, instead of clicking "generate detailed report" copy and paste the crash log into pastebin and upload it here. We unfortunately aren't able to read rcr files.

Hi there.  We cannot read the file you've attached, please attach the RagePluginHook.txt/.log

Actually, generating a detailed report is a bit better, because then he can attach the full log to this post. :)  (Ultimately, it may just come down to personal preference)

Thought that only RPH Dev's could read them though?

Nope!  :)  The detailed log is put in the form of the RagePluginHook.txt/log and can be read by anyone.  There are crash files specific to the Rage devs, but to my knowledge, these are never used unless it's a severe situation.

Have you added and/or changed anything with your game recently?

Added a new ambulance on openIV plus LAPD pack of cars.

 

Started up fine first time then had a break and now wont load?   

But for the Ambulance i had to go through D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\vehicles.meta (On open IV) 

Changed the vehicles.meta for handing of the ambulance. Worked first time and now it wont haha.

Did you edit vehicles.meta or carvariations?

Both but worked fine when done but now it wont haha.

Well, GTA modding is weird. :P  Please attach your vehicles.meta and carvariations to your next post, and name out the vehicles you added.

 

I am heading off for the night, but first thing in the morning I'll hop back on to reply if someone else hasn't. :)

 

(If you really don't want to wait for me, you can start removing meta and carvars one by one until your game works.  Up to you)

Got it to work.. It was me being stupid. Didn't edit carvariations properly. missed a step (cough cough)  <----Idiot award goes to me.

Ha ha, we've all made mistakes. Hell, I still might forget a < tag in the meta and carvar every so often. :P
